How To Boost Your Immune System
There is a lot you can do to boost your immune system. All of them are important, and missing just one part can decrease your immunity significantly.
Sleep
Sleep is critical! It is the time of the day when you heal and recover. 70% of adults do not get enough rest at night, so do your best to get to bed on time regularly. Regularity helps train your body to sleep. Limit light in your room too!
Drink Water
Like sleep, most people do not drink enough water. Water is crucial for many of your body’s systems, including immunity. Most adults should aim to drink eight 8oz glasses of water per day.
Wash Your Hands
If you knew the number of germs that live on your hands, and how many you pick up during your day, you would wash your hands WAAAAY more! Hand sanitizer is also good in a pinch. If you can’t do either – make sure you don’t touch your face!
Exercise Regularly
Exercise does more than just boost your immune system, so it is critical do it regularly! Strength training is the best type of exercise, in my opinion, but honestly, ANYTHING that gets you moving that you enjoy (aka, will do regularly) is important.
Eat Well
It is extra important to eat well during cold and flu season because you want to get your body’s defenses high. When you consume sugar, it lowers your immunity by 50% for about 4 hours. Eliminating processed foods is also key.
There are plenty of healthy foods you can consume: healthy fats (avocado, animal fats, butter, ghee, nuts), vegetables, antioxidant fruits (berries), grass-fed beef, pasture-raised eggs, and non-vegetarian chicken.
Address Your Underlying Health Issues
If you have health challenges holding you back, your immune system cannot function at 100%.
NOW is the time to correct them. The longer you wait, the longer it will take to address them.
Nutrition Response Testing ®
Nutrition Response Testing is a non-invasive system of analyzing the body in order to determine the underlying causes of ill health. When these are corrected through safe, natural, nutritional means, the body can repair itself in order to attain and maintain more optimum health.
What that means is: we don’t do a one-size-fits-all nutritional OR supplement protocol.
